Honor 9 lite with 18:9 Display, pair of Dual cameras launching on December 21st

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is expected to launch a new variant of the Honor 9i smartphone, the Honor 9 Lite. Recently, unveiled the  Honor 7X with bezel-less 18:9 display in India and top-end Honor 9 in July this year. Plan’s to launch new Honor 9 lite on the market. The new smartphone was spotted on China’s TENNA website where it’s tipped to feature the same 18:9 display and a dual rear and front camera setup as the Honor 9i.

Honor 9 lite will be a basic version of the previously launched Honor 9 with a more basic processor and set of 2 Dual camera setups for front and the back.

Specifications

The smartphone will be a 5.65inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9(aka bezel-less design). Under the hood, the smartphone will powered a Kirin 659 which is Huawei’s own brand of processors. It will have an octa-core setup which will be clocked at 2.3ghz. The phone will have 4Gb ram unit paired with 32/64GB internal storage option, It will be backed by a 2900 mAh battery with fast charge support.

From the optics side, The smartphone will have Dual camera setup with 13 Megapixels primary and 2 Megapixel secondary. The Honor 9 lite will have Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 5.0. The fingerprint sensor is towards the rear side of the phone.

Honor 9 lite Price and availability

The Launch date of the smartphone has been announced to be December 21st for the China market.

The Honor 9 lite will be available in 2 storage varients 32GB variant for 2000CNY ( Approx 19500 INR)  and 64GB variant for 2400CNY (Approx 25000 INR). Price details about the Honor 9 Lite and Huawei Enjoy 7S are likely to reveal at the time of their official launch in China. Huawei is also expected to bring both the new smartphones to India sometime following their availability in the Chinese market.
